Paramount Plus is a great streaming service with a wide variety of content—and everyone wants to get this amazing app on their TV.
But the issue arises when you can’t find this amazing app on your TV.
The issue could be like this:
“You have been using this app for quite some time, but suddenly you can’t find it, or you recently bought an LG TV from your friends, but when you tried to install it, you couldn’t find Paramount Plus on your LG TV’s apps store.”
Well, In this article, I will break down why you are not finding Paramount Plus on your TV and what exactly you have to do to get it.
Let’s dive in…
Reasons you Can’t Find Paramount Plus on Your LG TV
Typically, Paramount Plus works on every TV brand, but there are some restrictions on their end.
If you can’t find Paramount Plus on your LG TV, your TV isn’t compatible with its requirements. Paramount Plus only works with LG TVs that have webOS 4.0 or higher, including LG TVs from 2018 and newer models.
However, there is an easy way to check this!
Simply go to the LG App Store and search for the Paramount Plus app.
If it’s available for download, your TV is compatible.
TV is Compatible, But Paramount Plus Not working on my TV
In this case, problem is not with the compatibility but rather with the TV’s firmware, app’s core file, or other software malfunctions.
Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Fix the software malfunction
Software malfunction is somewhat common in TVs but it often influences the TV’s functionality and how it works.
You don’t need to do any complex staff to resolve this—a simple power reset is enough.
- Disconnect the TV from the power outlet completely.
- Similarly, disconnect all the HDMI-connected devices from the TV.
- Wait at least 5 minutes.
- During this time, press and hold the TV’s power button for about 35 seconds.
- Once done, power the TV back on.
Now re-open the app and check if it’s working now.
If Paramount Plus still not working on your LG TV, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Fix the Corrupted App Files
You will know that this is the issue if the app is just loading infinitely, not opening, or crashing frequently.
Software malfunctions can also trigger this issue, but if a power reset doesn’t fix it, the app’s internal core file is likely corrupted.
In such a case, uninstalling and then reinstalling the app might help!
Press the remote’s Home button and then go to the LG Content Store. From there, search for “Paramount Plus” and select the Paramount Plus app. Remove it and then reinstall it.

Once you have uninstalled the app, restart the TV. Similarly, after reinstalling the app, reboot the TV once again.
Step 3: Rollback App to an older version
According to a statement from Paramount’s customer service team,
“Samsung and LG TV users won’t be able to use the latest version of the app yet“.
For this, they suggested sticking with the old version of the app.
However, If you’ve already upgraded, uninstall the app and then again install an older version.
Q: Is Paramount Plus available on all LG smart TVs?
No, not all LG smart TVs support the Paramount Plus app.
The app is only available on newer models that have WebOS 4.0 or higher. You can check your TV’s specifications to see if it’s compatible with the app.
Q: I downloaded the Paramount Plus app on my LG TV, but it won’t open. What should I do?
If the app won’t open on your LG TV, try restarting your TV and then launching the app again.
If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it from the LG Content Store.
Q: I can find the Paramount Plus app on my LG TV, but it’s not available for download.
If you can see the Paramount Plus app in the LG Content Store but it’s not available for download, it could be that the app is temporarily unavailable or that there’s an issue with the store.
Try checking back later to see if the app is available.
Q: I have an older LG smart TV, but I want to use it. Is there any way to still access the app on my TV?
If your LG smart TV is older and doesn’t support the Paramount Plus app, you may still be able to access the app by connecting an external device, such as a streaming media player, to your TV.
Alternatively, you could try using the web browser on your TV to access the Paramount Plus website and stream content that way.
