If the Chip is hot enough to fry an egg on it, and you scream ‘Ouch!’, that means the problem is on the video circuit card. In this case, replacing the video circuit card is the permanent/only solution.

Tip: You can install a heat sink onto the hot chip or cut a small rectangular hole in the rear panel of the TV and install a super quiet mini USB cooling fan. This will blow cool air over the chip and its heat sink, helping to keep the TV working.

Step 4: Test and replace the power supply board
